The Environment
At PrintedEasy.com we are very aware of our environmental impact.
Our Ethos
Printing in general is not an environmentally friendly process.
However, PrintedEasy.com believe in minimising any impact by using only papers from well managed sources and inks that are purely vegetable oil based. Our pre-press including plate making is completely chemical free using no developers or fixers and leaving no waste liquids whatsoever. All aluminium plates are recycled. All off cuts and trimmings are pulped for newsprint and packaging, amongst other things. In short we throw virtually nothing away and anything we dispose of is via a licensed waste agency.
- All our papers are from either well managed sources or are recycled.
- All our papers are manufactured to ISO 14001 and are chlorine free. A full environmental specification is available on request.
- We only use vegetable based inks as opposed to oil based inks. Again a specification is available.
- Paper trimmings whilst kept to a minimum are sorted and recycled.
- Overprinted matter that may contain client details is shredded in house before going off for recycling.
- No chemicals are used in the pre-press department. This means plates are produced completely dry, resulting in no waste chemicals to dispose of.
FSC® Certified
Printed Easy is a trading name of Falkland Press Ltd, who are now FSC registered. This means that all our papers are taken from well managed sources and as the customer you can have our unique FSC logo printed on your orders. You may add this option on the product pages when placing your orders.
ISO 14001 Accreditation
Printed Easy is ISO 14001 accredited.
